Email Blast #3
Hi, guys, time to give you a bit more information on our upcoming reunion from May 17th to the 19th in Las Vegas. We have not had a great response yet (only ten rooms reserved to date), so here are some updates on our plan which may entice you to attend.
To start, the registration fee will be $100 per person, down from last year ($125). This will include the final buffet dinner and all the refreshments in the CTF, as well as wine at the dinner and any other miscellaneous event costs. The registration fee can be paid with cash, check or credit card when you check in at the reunion.
Maj. Gen Jeff Cliver has graciously consented to be our featured guest speaker for our banquet. We know he will have some powerful words for us so don't miss this superb event.
We are planning some tours as well. Looking at Nellis on Wednesday and golf on Thursday (perhaps both AM and PM). Volunteers will have transportation available to other local spots such as the Hoover Dam and the Big Wheel. You can sign up for specialized tours during registration.

34 TFS and 469 TFS Reunion Email Blast #2
Time to remind everyone again that the combined 469/34 TFS reunion is set for May 17-19, 2016. This is our unique military reunion because we have concentrated on that period at Korat from 1971 to 1973. What that means is that you know everybody! Below is the info you will need to make reservations at the Las Vegas Marriott, our host hotel. The cutoff date for reservations is April 26 or when our block of 50 rooms sells out.
You can make your reservations online by clicking on this link:
http://goo.gl/s6C3Sl or by calling the Central Reservations Department at 1-800-228-9290 and referencing the group name: “469th & 34th TFS Reunion”. If anyone wants to come earlier or stay after the reunion you will need to call the reservations number, as the link will only allow reservations from May 17th to May 19th.
Right now we are still working on the agenda but we hope to have a few things firmed up by the next email blast in a couple of weeks. While the primary emphasis will be on seeing old friends and socializing in the CTF, we are looking at golf, a Nellis or Indian Springs base visit, and maybe a Hoover Dam visit on Wednesday. A Thursday night buffet with a guest speaker we all know will top off the reunion and leave plenty of time for re-telling war stories and renewing friendships from 40 plus years ago. Dress is casual except for Durwood.
Contact Chet Martindale, our 469th liaison, at [email protected], Tel. 678-468-8475, or Dave Vogl, our 34th liaison, at [email protected], Tel. 401-816-0237 if you have any questions or reunion ideas. If you have web access we have a web page that you can access to keep up with the reunion and the attendance list at http://34469rg.weebly.com, password 34469.
Don't wait too long to make your reservations as the reservation count will determine the food and CTF (that's the Crew Training Facility if you've forgotten) requirements. Hope to see you all there in fabulous Las Vegas.
